Instructional Design

Our design department pushes the boundaries of design when creating innovative course solutions and learning experiences. Our collaborative designs are based on a variety of course data, learner needs and demographics, industry standards, subject matter experts’ knowledge, and sound, outcome-based instructional theory. We employ backward design, where we develop course outcomes which then determine what information will be taught in the course. Our outcomes are task-based, so our learners are certain that the skills they learn will be applicable to and essential for their careers.

We design collaboratively in teams of instructional designers, faculty, and subject matter experts. Our frequent designs with faculty and subject matter expert has led to strong, trusting relationships which create cohesive courses and allow innovation to be put into practice.

Our award-winning, Doctoral and Master’s qualified instructional designers and design faculty are always striving to advance the field and practice of design. We aim to discover and use new methodologies and technologies to provide the best experiences possible for our learners. Whether we’re designing online, face-to-face, or hybrid courses, we have the expertise to ensure that our designs are not just simply effective, but create memorable and meaningful experiences for our learners.
